Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Wallet Procuraduría may collect
and process for citizens and staff of the Procuraduría General de la Nación (Colombia),
why it is used, when it may be shared, how long it may be retained, and how users can
request account deletion. It is intended for public reference and Google Play compliance.
What the app does
Main functions
- Citizen mode: create an account, verify identity when required, book and manage appointments, view QR check-in codes, and receive notifications
- Staff mode: sign in with institutional credentials, view the digital staff ID (carnet) and staff QR, and use enabled staff tools
- Administration: institutional staff use the web panel to manage appointments, personnel, and support requests
What data may be collected
Information categories
- Account information such as name, email address, phone number, and password
- Document / identity numbers (e.g. cédula) and identity-verification results when required
- Appointment data such as office, date, time, reason, companions, and attendance status
- Staff badge / carnet data, including photo when uploaded
- Device and notification data such as push tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- Support tickets, audit logs, and security records needed to operate the service safely
Why data is used
Primary purposes
- Create and manage citizen and staff accounts
- Book, confirm, update, cancel, and track appointments
- Issue and display the digital staff ID (carnet) and related QR codes
- Send service notifications (appointments, verification, account activity)
- Provide IT helpdesk chat / tickets when that module is enabled
- Protect the platform against abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access
- Meet institutional, operational, and legal compliance requirements
Security
How we protect data
Wallet Procuraduría transmits data over HTTPS and uses access controls, role-based
permissions, audit logging, and operational safeguards. Hosting and connected
services (for example email delivery and push notifications) are configured for
this institutional deployment.
Important: This public summary should stay aligned with the live
system and the answers declared in the Google Play Data safety form.
Sharing and disclosures
Data may be shared only as needed to provide the service, support the institution
that operates this deployment, deliver notifications, complete identity verification,
comply with law, or protect the security and integrity of the system.
Examples of limited sharing
- Authorized Procuraduría staff who handle appointments and operations
- Infrastructure, email, push-notification, or identity-verification providers used by this deployment
- Authorities or auditors when disclosure is legally required

Retention
Data is retained according to institutional retention rules. Appointment history,
audit, security, and compliance records may be kept for different periods than
basic profile fields.
Account deletion: When a deletion request is approved, directly
identifying account data may be deleted or anonymized, while some records may be
retained according to policy. See

User choices
- Users can update certain account information inside the app
- Users can manage notifications and profile details through the application
- Users can request account deletion from the in-app privacy section
- Staff use institutional credentials and enabled staff modules only
